The Juventus head coach has voiced his opinion over the victory over the Partenopei, and commented on their title competitor’s, AC Milan,
form this season.
The Turin giants seem to have found momentum at the right time, after going through a streak of draws in recent weeks. They finally turned things around
with an emphatic victory over Fiorentina, with 5-0 annihilation of the Viola. After this victory, they were persistent in their approach in the Derby d’Italia, winning 2-0 against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan.
After finding their scoring boats, Juventus have not stopped and they demonstrated their prowess by a 3-0 romping over Napoli. What was even more significant
was the fact that Napoli have a habit of performing exceedingly well against top teams. The manner in which they shut out the Partenopei was a spectacle to behold, with the Azzurri failing to test http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gianluigi-Buffon-c14833 of Juventus.
The return to form of the Bianconeri has elated the manager, who saw http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-Bonucci-c22064 open the scoring for the Old Lady in the second-half. Conte was beaming
when giving his interview, and reiterated the transformation that the Lady Killers had gone over the season, and commented:
"In the last two weeks, we clearly beat Inter and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, two sides who were ahead of us before the start of the season, in terms of quality and organisation.
The victory against Napoli must be a source of pride because they are a great side who played very well in the Champions League and who are growing a lot under [coach] Walter Mazzarri.”
The former Bari manager was of the view that his team had really impressed him, remarking on the improvements made by the team as a whole. However, the
manager stated that it was Milan’s title to lose and they could only hope to keep the pressure on the San Siro outfit in their pursuit of the Scudetto, and said:
"We will try to take advantage of any slip-ups that Milan make. The title is Milan's to lose, because no one else has the same personnel than they
do. The Rossoneri are a very strong side, who won the title last season and who are first despite having had so many players injured.”
The former Juventus player defended Borriello’s performance by suggesting that the striker did not really get an opportunity to acclimatise to the team,
as he was a January purchase.
