The Juventus head coach has given his assessment on the match against the Giallorossi and conceded that they made
it tough for them, but was grateful for the win.
The Bianconeri manager got his tactics spot on in the week 34 fixture of the Serie A. Juve were ruthless in the match and showed
no mercy against a resurgent AS Roma side, who have found a new lease of life in the past few weeks, with some consistent victories.
Conte praised the opposition but also mentioned that his team were playing at a phenomenal level, and have set really high targets
for themselves. The Old Lady and AC Milan have been embroiled in a season long battle to win the race for the Scudetto, and both the clubs knew that they had to register a victory to pile on the pressure on each other.
The Rossoneri were playing before Juve, and knew that nothing short of a victory would do, but they succumbed to a draw. The
draw implied that Conte’s men needed a victory to take a three-point lead at the top of the table, and Juve did it in great style. They overcame Luis Enrique’s men by winning 4-0.
The club manager was proud of his men and stated that his side always managed to amaze him. he further stated:
“The approach was fundamental and worthy of a top club. These lads continue to amaze me. We know it was a little step forward,
but there are also five Finals in front of us and none of them are easy,” said the Coach.”
The former Bari manager was of the opinion that Roma are a very tricky side to deal with and they have the potential of beating
any club in the Lega, and mentioned:
“Tonight was not easy, either. We expected it to be tough and Roma can hurt anyone, but tonight they had to face off against
a concentrated, enthusiastic and gritty Juve. I think it’s worth giving credit to the winning side rather than looking to blame the losing team.”
Juventus have played 33 matches in the season, and are three points at the top the Serie A standings.
