La Vecchia Signora Boss has revealed that he will make some changes in the squad for the upcoming Italian Cup quarter-final against Luis Enrique’s men.
Juventus head coach, Antonio Conte, has revealed that he will rest a few of his top players for the Coppa Italia quarter-final against AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603.
Conte has made very few changes to his starting line-up in the recent past, but he is now willing to give run-outs to the bench-held players.
“We’ll certainly change something because of injuries, but also to give a chance to the players who have always been at our disposal since the beginning of the season. We’ll aim to give an opportunity to those who deserve to play
and those who already impressed against Bologna in the last round.” The Juve boss said.
The Lady Killers have been dealt with a huge blow, as versatile midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Marchisio-c9312, picked up a knee injury against Atalanta in a recent Serie A match. The Italian international is set to miss approximately two weeks
of action.
Conte is hoping to have the midfielder back as soon as possible, and reckons that Emanuele Giaccherini will be a suitable replacement for the Italian.
“I hope that Claudio recovers quickly. I need to replace him with someone of similar characteristics and Emanuele Giaccherini comes close in terms of quantity, quality and his ability to break from deep,” added Conte.
Conte is predicting a tough game against a rejuvenated Roma side. The Giallorossi knocked Juve out of the competition last season, but the tactician is keen to secure a semi-final spot this time around.
The game will take place at Juventus Stadium on Tuesday, January 24.
