Udinese have assured that they will take care of Piermario Morosini’s ailing sister, who was dependant on the late midfielder’s support.
Morosini died on the pitch following a heart attack in a recent Serie B game on Saturday, April 14th. The Bianconeri star lost both his parents in his early days, and later lost his brother too. His sister, who is seriously
ill, had no other close relative other than her brother.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Di-Natale-c6306, the Udinese captain, has confirmed that he and his club will take care of the late midfielder’s sister, and will make sure that she does not miss her brother.
Di Natale praised Morosini, and insisted that he was a wonderful person despite all the hardships he had to go through in the recent times. The striker grieved the loss of a great friend, and revealed that he was devastated to
see Morosini collapse on the pitch.
While talking to the reporters, Di Natale said:
“He was an exceptional lad, so full of life. Despite all the problems he had, he was always at the disposal of the team and every day gave us all strength. I lost my mother four years ago and, as he had already been through this,
he was very close to me. Watching the images on television was shocking. He wanted to get back up, but fell again. When seeing that, all you can do is pray the Lord will give you a hand."
“I immediately said we could not play last night, as it wasn’t right. I compliment http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 and the FIGC for making that decision, as on a day like this football becomes impossible.”
The Italian international also commended the Lega Calcio’s decision to postpone the weekend matches, as he believes that he was not in the right mental condition to play the game.
Morosini was owned by Udinese, but they had sent him on-loan to Serie B side, Livorno. The player had also represented Italy U-21 team in the past.
