Antonio Margarito vs Miguel Cotto?

More mexican vs puerto rican boxing... whats your opinion on this match??? and who do u think will win??

first of all margaritos chin is anything but suspect.

i think that margarito will really test cotto and it will be an instant classic. cotto will probably hit the floor because margarito is as relentless as they come. if cotto can make it through 8 rounds margorito may not stop throwing punches but their effectivenes will drop, and that is where miguel cottos superior boxing skills will take over and i believe(im no nostradamus) cotto will win by unanimus decision.

Margarito will KO Cotto after 8 rounds.... Cotto is just too small (5'7 Cotto to 5'11 Margarito) and His chin too suspect for him to beat Tony.....if not for Cottos long background in boxing i would have Margarito in 4 rounds.... Cotto should do well early in the fight and be able to win a few rounds but by the 5th Margarito will catch up..... after the fifth Cotto will be backpeadaling and fighting more defensively just to stay in the fight.... But Cotto will taste the canvass at least once by the 7th round and will be finished after 8 ...... is sad i know but if Cotto could not hurt Mosely and ran from him the last few rounds, is hard to believe he is going to KO margaritos granite chin....Cotto can win a decision but it would require him to slap box like williams and keep moving around the ring....Like Cintron if Cotto loads up his punches and tries to slug it out, It will Be an Early Nite........

Margarito is a good fighter but Cotto is just better, but that doesn't mean that will be a easy fight for Cotto.

This will be an interesting fight, Margarito knows that this is his last shot at greatness (and perhaps Mayweather) and he will give it his all, Cotto is going to bring his A game as usual and give us a great fight, I think the fight could go either way although i think Cotto will win.

This will definitely be a very difficult fight for both combatants, I think the winners will be the fans. I like both fighters, they both display heart, both can punch and both good whiskers. Margarito has a granite chin, Cotto at first I might have thought that his chin was suspect, but not anymore. At 140 Cotto would drain himself to make weight, and at 147 his chin has been pretty solid. Although, I feel that Cotto has the better boxing skills, both guys will fight every second of each round non-stop. The fight becomes the war of attrition, if anyone crumbles it may be via body shots and both guys can land body shots. Tough fight to pick, and personally tough because I like both fighters and followed there careers early on... Slight edge Cotto. Everyone seems to have figured Cotto out, UNTIL they get in the ring with him. Ill be rooting for both guys - I know thats weak. Sorry.

I think we're going to see a different Cotto than we might expect - he's going to have to box, he's got good skills and he'll have to use them.  He is smaller than Margarito, and Margarito can take a better punch (thats not really anything against Cotto, it can be said about every welterweight).  Cotto is an excellent pressure fighter, excellent at avoiding shots at close range, but thats best served against quicker boxers - Margarito throws too many punches for Cotto to just stay in his chest.

Cotto will have to do what Cintron tried to do and keep a good range - the problem for Cotto is that he doesn't have the one-shot power of Cintron, and Cintron's power didn't come close to keeping Margarito off.  

Margarito hasn't shown that he can go 12 rounds at a punishing pace, if Cotto can set a good rate and keep the fight near the center of the ring he can take a decision.  But if he listens to everyone tell him he can out brawl Margarito he is in a world of trouble, Margarito is one of the toughest welterweights I've ever seen.  

I'll say this, if Cotto beats Margarito he's my pick for #1 pound for pound - Judah, Mosely, and Margarito - thats the definition beating the best out there.

Cintron can knock out pretty much every welter with one shot and all he did was tickle margaritos chin.

Cotto vs margo would be a great fight . Cotto knows he won't be able to hurt margo so because his a smart boxer I think his gonna stick and move and win by a decision. But I know for sure this will be cottos toughest fight. This can go either way but I favor cotto because his faster and more technicly skilled.

margarito has a suspect chin- Lmao. margarito has a granite chin. it should make for a great fight. cotto is a superior boxer but if it turns out to be a brawl i think it could go either way. cotto is a slight favorite to win but i wouldnt surprise me either way
