Rosati signs for Napoli
Lecce goalkeeper, Antonio Rosati, has joined Italian giants, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, for a fee believed to be in the region of four-million-pounds.
Rosati has been linked with a move to Azzurri for some time now and today he officially joined the club. The shot-stopper is expected to play as an understudy to Napoli’s first choice goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Morgan-De-Sanctis-c26801, but he is not
daunted by the challenge and wants to prove his worth and become the number one choice soon.
The 28-year-old expressed his delight after the transfer and said that he is overwhelmed by joining one of the biggest teams in Europe.
Talking to the reporters Rosati said, “This is an immense joy for me,” the goalkeeper noted. “I’ve joined a great squad and a big club with high prestige. I can’t wait to start this splendid experience and get to know my new teammates
in order to quickly integrate into the group.”
Napoli had a wonderful 2010/11 campaign and finished third on the league table, which ensured their qualification for UEFA Champions League after 21 years.
Rosati began his professional career at Lecce in 2004 and soon became one of the most important member’s of the Giallorossi. The former Sambenedettese loanee played a huge role in winning the Serie B title for Lecce in 2009/10
season and won his club promotion to Serie A.
Rosati was a key member in avoiding unexpected relegation for Eusebio Di Francesco’s side in the recently concluded campaign.
Hetemaj joins Chievo
Brescia midfielder, Perparim Hetemaj, has joined Serie A club, Chievo Verona, in a co-ownership deal between the two sides.
The 24-year-old had an impressive 2010/11 campaign with Brescia side and attracted interest from several Italian clubs. The Finnish international has previously been linked with Serie A newcomers, Atlanta, as well but Chievo moved
quickly to wrap up the signing.
Hetemaj joined the Biancoazzurri from Dutch outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233, before the 2010/11 season but could not inspire his team to avoid relegation. The midfielder scored 2 goals in 34 appearances for the relegated side.
