  1. He was called "The red priest" because of the colour of his hair. His music, for some reason, was dropped from the classical repertoire, and (Hallelujah) has been revived within the last 50 years.  This genius, who has given pleasure to millions, tragically died in poverty.

  3. From 1703-1740, Vivaldi taught at an orphanage of 400 young women. According to old writings, the girls/women gave high-quality performances each Sunday.

    He was known as a violin virtuoso (master).  He wrote about 300 concertos just for the violin.

    one well known violin concerto is "Spring" from The Four Seasons, First Movement.  I am sure you will recognize it
