Kimbo is a Heavyweight (200+ pounds) and Margarito is a Welterweight (147 pounds). It wouldn't be fair to put them both in the same ring.

All Margarito would have to do is duck and weave. That big slob wouldn't be able to hit him, and he'd pass out from exhaustion after the second round. He wouldn't even have to throw a punch.

ok kimbo knows how to throw a punch unlike Jose canseco. Pluse kimbo has taken boxing discipline and he is 100 pounds heavier. Also, Margarito is not fast. Id say one punch from kimbo and its lights out for margarito. But then if you give margarito boxing gloves, he could stand a better chance.

My other perspective is that if Margarito could get the initial punch and capitalize's on it. He would win the fight.

Edit:Joe, I think you don't give Kimbo enough credit. He is an outstanding athelete and with one of the best teachers (Bas). He has spent a lot of his time on his ground game. His age is a factor but I think in another year he will start to feel comfortable enough with his grappling to start to focus more on his punching. If only he would have started 5 - 10 years earlier I would have more faith in his ability to really contend.

But since you asked, I'll give you my honest opinion.

I've watched Kimbo Slice move, and he's got some skills believe it or not.  He's not a boxer, but against a smaller fighter, he'd definitely do damage... even if the fighter is the lethal Antonio Margarito, one the most brutal Mexican warrior in years.  The reason being that Kimbo and Margarito both only go forward.

Kimbo Slice would win this fight due to size advantage.

But in terms of pound for pound, a bigger Margarito would break Kimbo down.
