Question:

Ants? Food? Help?

So we have quite the ant problem in a house my husband and I just moved into . . . thank goodness 2 of his family members work for pest control companies. We are going to have the house sprayed tomorrow night; last night we found ants INSIDE our bread and some other food items (*gags*). My question is, will things like bread, crackers, chips, etc. go bad if you put them in the refrigerator? I don't want ants getting into any more of our food . . . sorry if that was a stupid question lol.

  1. Draw a line of chalk around your food/cabinets, ants will not cross over chalk. It's safer than chemicals.

  2. I think the stuff may loose it's cripieness in the fridge

  3. I use bay leaves ( the herb), available anywhere. Just place some in the cabinets and they repell ants and any insects.

  4. You may want to put those things in an airtight container instead of leaving them in opened bags. I think bread does not taste as good once it is in the fridge. Tastes kind of dry. Not sure about chips and crackers but i'd think they would lose thier crispness.

  5. Dont leave any food out in the open

putting ur bread in the fride might make it kind of soggy

wrap ur food in air tight bags

    hope tht helped

  6. I agree, put the food in air tight containers, the bread tastes almost stale when put in the fridge. Also the chalk line does work! or maybe move the food outside in a bin in the garage or something before the spraying!
