Ants nesting under fruit trees.?

Question

Ants are nesting under my plum and apple trees.How do I get rid of them? I have dogs and cats,therefore cannot poison,dont want to risk damaging or killing my trees.

I use "TANGLEFOOT® Pre-Coated Sticky Tree Bands"..

dump some gas on them and light them on fire or my favorite way go buy a couple M80's and blow them up
