Anville Alright and Rhincrew Luke to battle out the Betfred Bookmakers Race
Sheffield will host the Grade A3 Betfred Bookmakers Race on Tuesday, 28th August over 500 metres flat. It has registered six talented hounds who will race for becoming entitled to the £89 prize money. Taking up the challenge are Anville Alright, Rhincrew Luke, Cool Con, Melodys Abbie, Wajas Moll and Green Flash. The two most accomplished entries are Anville Alright and Rhincrew Luke.
The two-year-old brindle dog, Rhincrew Luke, is way lightly raced as compared to the three-year-old brindle b***h, Anville Alright.
Out of the five career outings, two culminated into wins. The career debut on 16th July, 2012 at Sheffield over 280 metres had the N. Melbourne trained ending third behind the winner, Rince Cosmo, who timed the track distance in 16.10 seconds.
The first success of the hound born on 3rd November was on 2nd August, 2012 at Sheffield over 500 metres. Leading from the second spot got the two-year-old out of, Rhincrew Pearl, on the other end of the wire in 29.91 seconds.
Finishing the closest to the winner was, Boozed Bandit, who missed the race by just half a length.
The brindle dog struck a back-to-back on 9th August by winning over 500 metres at Sheffield. After leaving the third trap, he raced quickly away, not letting go off the lead and then switching from the rails to the middle. The two-year-old concluded the race in 29.71 seconds.
Qualifying as the runner-up was, Desert Ted.
His very last race at the same venue and over the same distance had him ending sixth.
It is highly likely that the two-year-old will bounce back into form tonight.
The other entry with equal chances of landing the race is the under charge of trainer, M. Wainwright. The last two races of Kinloch Brae’s daughter were victories which indicate her tuned up form and the potential of becoming dominant in the race tonight.
Her most recent success was in the Grade A3 500 metres flat race on 21st August, 2012 at Sheffield. After breaking from the first trap and then being the first one to lead got the race settled in 29.77 seconds.
