I have so many fears its unreal and they are going to sound stupid but here goes. I have a fear of showering. I have this because I get all of my anxiety attacks in the shower which make me scared to death to take them.. I even hate taking baths but will take them obviously every day because bathing is important. I want to be able to take showers again though..I also have a fear of driving not only in the dark but during any part of any day when I am alone. I am so scared somethin will happen and nobody is there with me.. I also have a fear of something happening to me in public which makes me unable to work also becaues of my side effects of anxiety and being pregnant. I just don't know what to do anymore.. i take Lorazepam .5mg 3x daily for my anxiety but it seems to only make it worse now that I am pregnant.. Before I got pregnant I could shower, drive, work and everything as long as I could take 1mg Lorazepam 3x daily.. Now I just don't know what to do.. Any advice?

  1. You definitely need to call your doctor and ask him about your dosage.  It could be as simple as maybe taking it in the morning instead of at night.  It could be that you need a little more while you are pregnant.

You need to put a shower radio on the shower spout so that you can listen to music, or talk radio.  I cannot imagine where you live that something will happen to you and no one will know.  Believe me, if you even remotely bother a neighboring driver, they are going to know you are there, let alone losing control of a car!  If you are panicking about driving, get your cell phone out.  Program in 911 permanently.  Pull up 911 when you get in the car and put it in your pocket or your purse, next to you on your seat.  If anything should happen, you can reach over and press send or talk, and it will dial 911 for you.  You will not be alone.
