Question:

Anxiety at school???

Hi. I get anxiety attacks at school. I'll be going back the day after tomorrow and I;m really scared that I will start panicking. Could you place give me some ideas to help calm me down.

I've already heard all the " take deep breaths and think about something else" stuff, that doesn't help.

  1. i get a lot of anxiety in social situations.

    in recent times what i find that works for me is to focus on different things in the room. like describe the color of the chairs, then look at the window, then look at something else then again at something else. keep breathing deeply though your nose and mouth and focus on random stuff in the room until you feel better.

    its a nice way to keep people from staring.  


  2. Maybe you could chew gum when you start to feel anxious.  Just something to keep you occupied.

  3. big red listen to big j from brooklyn first thing you should do is wear some shades baby. with your hater blockers on no one can see what your going through . put your i pod on and listen to your favorite song on the way there. once you notice the power the shades will give you    getting through the day should be a snap.  if anyone asks y the shades  just say these are my hater blockers give them the once over and brush your shoulders off LOL

  7. Step outside of class and jump around for a while. It sounds bizarre but it does help.
