Anxiety medication question?

I have been off and on medication for 11 years or so I was on paxil c.r. for awhile it worked well for me, i have been off medication for 5 years now but need to go back on. I was put on paxotene the generic of paxil and it made me so nervous my blood pressure went to 164/89. was on 10mg for four days. got off of that dr put me on lexapro took half of a 10mg tablet for two days had the same reaction blood pressure went to 184/112 but went down to 150/86 by the time i got to e.r. Never had reactions like this before until now. When i was on paxil i could take it and would not feel any side effects.What could cause this or can you have bad reactions to certain medication and the other not have any problems what so ever. i did stop taking it all at once 5 years ago would that have anything to do with it? Anybody have similar stories like this who had success? I'm going back on paxil c.r. in a few days but am alittle nervous about having the same reaction. but it may be the only way to get me and my blood pressure back to normal.

I think you should talk to your Dr about another type of anxiety medication like klonopin you can start at a dose of 0.5mg 3x daily it works wonders personal experince
