  1. Pretty yuk isn't it? And it's not stupid at all. Most people in a new situation feel on the 'out'.  Above all remember why you are there. To learn.  There's nothing wrong with your own company for starters and a maybe a good book...eventually you may find that you have less time for your book when you get to know people.  People will always judge, there's not much you can do about it.  It doesn't stop in adulthood either.  Relax and learn to rely on yourself a little and the rest will just happen.

    Good luck!

  2. Hi there!

First of all don't worry if you think you're being judged... everyone has those feelings. Try your best to make friends, walk up to a group of people you think you will fit in with and say hi, I'm ......... nice to meet you. To improve your self esteem just keep smiling and approach each day as if it is going to be the best day in your life. You will eventually feel right. Don't feel self conscious as I am sure you have nothing to worry about... I go red in the face when I talk to someone I have never met... but I still do it because who know they may be a friend for life!

Good Luck and all the best!
