I'm studying aviation and this info would really be useful, i already know of airframes.org and myairplane.com but they seem limited, i want as much info as possible including: past operators, accidents, maintenance log, age etc

  1. nciflyer has given you the info you need for current registration info on US based aircraft. I know of no online database that will give you past operators/owners/. For that information, you would have to request a title search from the FAA office in Oklahoma City and you have to pay for it.

Maintenance logs are kept by owner/operators in the form of logbooks. The only way you could peruse them is to request to see them from the aircraft owner. That is what you would do if you are buying an aircraft. Its also what makes an aircraft less valuable if the logbooks are lost.

  2. The FAA registry site should provide a little more than airframes.org but not everything you're looking for.

    http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/

Also for accident/incident history you can use the NTSB database.
