A small program that will tell you a new word each day to improve my vocabulary.

I would like to use it to improve my writing.

http://wordsmith.org:80/awad/subscribe.h...  is actually called A Word A Day.  There is explanation of the word and a newsletter where people can explain what the word means to them or in a different context.

www.dictionary.com has a word a day column by email.

ArcaMax.com has a word a day email as does the Oxford Dictionary of the English Language.

Doctor Dictionary will send you a word a day, its definitions and several uses of it.

If you make Google your homepage and then personalize it, there are many things that can be included.  I think

Word of the Day is one of them.

The same with My Yahoo.  When you personalize your

page, there's a lot of things you can include.
