Two free sites I know of are http://www.hulu.com/ and http://www.surfthechannel.com/ Both offer more video than just TV shows. The TV networks are also providing a lot more online episodes than they used to, so that may be the first place to check for a specific show that airs on a particular network (e.g. CBS).

a lot of show websites allow you to watch their regular programmed shows on their site.

i know that nbc.com and abc.com allow you to watch shows online.

other than that, I am not sure.
