Any 18 year anniversary party ideas?!

I want to have a 18 years old amazing party. I will rent a smaller size ballroom and I will wanna decorate it and make it sort of like a club. I want to invite a lot of people from my grade.

Do you have any ideas with things I could add? This can be anything from themes, decorations, food, or any other out of the box ideas? thanks

I really wanna make it something amazing, since I never celebrate my birthdays in between. For example, when I was 10 yrs old my parents threw up a surprised party and invited everyone from my class! I was so touched..xD

Prom themed? Doesn't really matter what age you are, it's always fun. So everyone comes in formal wear, dresses and tuxes. =D

For a professional looking backdrop (perfect for photos), get a white or solid coloured and get a whole bunch of helium balloons. Stick with a coloured theme, such as red and orange, etc.

In the bathroom, put in some makeup. Neutral eyeshadows, mascara, eye liner, lipstick, and some Q Tips. Perfect for touch ups!

Decorations should stick with the colour theme. Get some cheap chandeliers and hang them up where ever you're having this party. Some shiny, marble-like flower pots with pretty flowers. Balloons, in clusters just anywhere. To add a punch, rent/buy a rug that goes with the theme colours. If you don't want to buy new furniture, I mean, who does....just buy some cheap, matching, fabric from somewhere like Wal Mart and cover the furniture. Another idea is school photos of everyone on a ribbon, which makes a streamer.

Food can range from anything. You should get a cater. If you can't, have a huge table with plates and plenty of different foods. Chicken kabobs, steamed rice, tomato soup, veggie platter, spicy Italian pasta, etc.

For music, you should get a few people to mix a few CDs of songs everyone loves!

You should also get people to host fun things to do. You could get a Tarot Card Reader, fortune teller, makeover booth....etc. That way, there's always something going on!
