I am 14 years old, 5'4, and about 160 lbs. I don't look overweight but as my weight says I am and I am do not have very many muscels either. I don't plan on losing the weight that I want to fast, I just plan on doing it in a way for it to be healthy. Any thoughts? Any guidance for what I should eat and what different excersises I can do?

  3. It sort of concerns me that you say that your overweight because your weight says you are. Remember that everyone carries their weight differently, so what might be the ideal weight on someone else the same height might be too skinny on you. So I think 25-40 pounds is probably too much weight to lose since you said you don't look overweight.

But it's still a good idea to build some muscles and eat better. Cut out most of your dairy and when you do drink milk go for nonfat. Eat no red meat. Replace white carbs (like bread or pasta) with whole wheat versions. Eat lots of fruit and veggies everyday, and drink a lot of water.

For exersize try to walk a lot. At least one or two miles everyday. It'll firm you up and get rid of some of the excess fat. It's good to add in some strength training too. You can do a Google search for some exersize ideas.

Good luck! And congratulations for doing this the slow and heathy way!
