I have a presentation to do at school in front of my class (30 ppl) including my teacher. We have to talk for at least 10 min on our passion. Mine is soccer if you were wondering. And on top of that we have to do a demonstration. Any advice to get rid of nervousness, kill time and do my demo.??

  1. Try standing in front of the classroom with no people there to get used to it

  2. When I took a speech class I found that talking to one person at a time made it a lot easier because it felt like I was having a one on one conversation.  Find a few different people in your class (One on the left, center, and right - that way it looks like you're speaking to the whole group) and look at them when you're speaking.  Also I find if you know the subject you're discussing inside and out, it gives you a little more confidence when discussing it.  Try not to speak too quickly.  I'm sure you'll do fine.  Good luck!

  3. Success will come if you thoroughly plan your work, then thoroughly work your plan.  Nothing, nothing beats being prepared.  When you know your subject, you will be looking forward to getting up in front of your class to share with them your passion for the game of soccer.  You will be enthusiastic and animated and you will shine.

You will do a great job.
