This is quite urgent - I've already looked on the Internet, but I can't find the information anywhere. Is it possible to be 16 years old and be attending college in America?

Thank in advance!

  1. It depends. If you are coming from a foreign country I believe that most of the time universities want to see that you attended high school here and base their decision on the age you graduate and also your grades, you will also need to take your SAT's.

  2. There are records of people, in America, who have gone to college at a much earlier age than 16.  But, they were super geniuses.  I guess if you meet the requirements, you should be allowed to attend.

  3. There are 10 yr old's who graduated with Ph.D's

  4. Yes, as long as you are accepted. I was going to go to college as a 16 year old, but I made the decision not to skip two grades in 5th grade. As you may have guessed, I cared more about leaving my friends than my academic future.

But I know a 16 year old who will be attending NYU this fall.

  5. yes. it depends on the classes you have taken and your education level
