Any Americans still stationed near Wurzburg or Kitzingen? I know Kitzing base has closed, but has Wurzburg?

I have some family land in Iphofen, Germany for which I am looking for some caretaker type of work - lawncutting, hedges, etc, that I can pay someone to handle. Any ideas?

Actually, my brother is stationed in Wurzburg... and he is still there with his unit. They were supposed to have been moved to Vicinza, Italy but that has been postponed due to the barracks not having been completed. So to answer your question... yes. there are still American troops there.

However, you might be hard pressed to find any to do your yard work. you might consider hiring a local yard care company to do this for you. It will be more expensive, but infinitely more reliable.

I don't know if Würzburg is completely closed or about to be closed. I don't think they have closed everything already, but am not sure. I know that Schweinfurt is not closed, but rather enlarged right now, with people pouring in from other bases, and people still freshly asigned to there from the States.

Würzburg has been completely closed down on 13th May..on that day the American flag was hauled down the last time!Think there are still living some Americans in this area!
