Any Amtrak Engineers?

My husband just started the Amtrak engineer program and am looking for any other engineers as a contact for him incase he has questions. He is so nervous!

I am not an Amtrak engineer but we use the same rule books so I should be able to help with some of the material.

Tell him dont hesitate to contact me.

As much as possible tell him to relax, it is a stressful job and he is understandably nervous but he can do it.

He'll get over that soon probably.Passenger trains are fairly easy to run compared to freight trains.We all use the same General Code rule book so if he has any questions email me and if i can i will give him an answer.Good luck to him.

Edit..I felt i needed to clarify my answer.It sounded like i was making running a passenger train trivial.I'm not by any means!I just mean they are a lot easier to run than a freight train in regards to weight,slack control,and how the brakes work.His job still requires a high degree of skill.diligence,and dedication.
