Lucky enough, i live in the western suburbs. And i dont need to get to the city anyway.. I dont work there or anything. So its good on my part..

But as a Catholic, i think its a good thing that will happen for Sydney.. It will probably only happen once.. I'm heading down there on Friday.. So i dont really know how crazy it will be.. Its a religious event..

Would you prefer terrorists roaming the streets? No? I didnt think so..

Yeah, it's pretty bothersome, luckily I live in the inner west, and not randwick or something, although I do work on the lower north shore and am anticipating some bridge problems soon.

At least with APEC we got a day off!

Also the singing does not make me feel joyous. really.

Its h**l. The pushers on CityRail, the fact you can NEVER get a seat on the train/bus, and the crowds blocking the streets.

As a Roman catholic im supposed to say that this is a very good event for Australia.. its very weird really. Im sort of glad i cancelled my registration to go.. i shouldnt really say that haha

I love the fact George St has closed. makes it much easier to walk around...but that's about all i like.

I was baptised a Catholic, tho I don't "practise" a religion anymore.

I thought that living on the Airport train line would be horrible, but I've been catching the express trains that don't go thru the airport tunnel so haven't had to deal with them on the train yet.

There were a mob of them walking up my back lane the other night tho, it was like 11pm and they were still singing and dancing.  Good on them for whatever they are doing but we have laws about distubing the peace and they copped a mouthful from me.

I'm sooooooooo not looking forward to tomorrow...when popey comes into town.

All in all I wish it never came to Sydney.  It's unfair, businesses have lost money, we aren't all Catholics in Sydney. I'll be mighty happy when they p**s off.

I am SO glad the anti-annoyance laws got overturned, and I laugh everytime I see the No-To-Pope Coalition handing out condoms.  The t-shirts going around are amusing as well.  I'll be very happy to see the g**s, lesbians, transgenders, etc protesting when the pope comes and i think it's hilarious that all these stories about priests raping kids is coming out now. Don't take it the wrong way - the stories aren't funny, the timing of them is perfect.  Can't wait for the protests on saturday.

It gives me the s***s to be perfectly frank. APEC was bad enough, this is like APEC x 10. I can't even get over to Randwick to pick up my iPhone. Well, I can if I want to spend 1.5hrs to make a 10 minute trip. People everywhere!

I've gone into hermit mode until it's all over. 5 days and counting.

LOL I was on the train once, and these two American "pilgrims" are on the train (One is taking up two seats due to his size). The larger man asks the other person, who was eating a Wagon Wheel, "How much was the moon pie?". I found it so hilarious. I don't want to be racist, but Americans are so funny to listen to. That and the corny T-shirts on sale are amusing (I felt tempted to buy an "I Love Jesus shirt). But, there are so many of them!
