Any Barefoot Windjammer cruisers out there?

My husband and I were on The Legacy on 05 and would like to hear stories of any of the other ships? We will never go on the fancy ships after being on this line, awesome experience, we're thinking of he Yankee Clipper through St. Lucia . . .any suggestions?

I've been on each of the Windjammer cruises, while I can't say I didn't enjoy it, I think I still prefer to sail on regular ships. I still enjoy the smaller ships that are out there, but perhaps Windjammer was a little to informal for me, but that is just my opinion. I have friends that sail Windjammer all the time and love it.

As far as your next venture with them, I would suggest either the Yankee Clipper or the Mandalay. Both are similar in size, etc. it is just a matter of which offers more ports you like.

The biggest thing to get used to is that these two boats are even smaller than The Legacy. Mandalay has 50 fewer cruises, while the Yankee Clipper has 58 fewer. It is nice to have such a small group of people, you really get to know everyone and have a great time. But, at the same time if you have a group/couple of people you don't enjoy as much, it can be a little hard to get away from them ;-)

I think that all of Windjammers cruises are very comparable, so the biggest thing is the ports you are wanting to visit.
