Any Beekeepers Here?

Question

There are no honeybees in my neighborhood. I would love to put a hive in a distant corner of my back yard, not to get the honey, but just so we can all enjoy the insects' presence, and they will help pollinate the trees and flowers. Might this be possible? If so, how to go about it?

Contact your county extension agent or the USDA. There is a shortage of bees now due to a fly-off phenomenen. Biologists are baffled.
