Hi, I'm thirteen and I'm looking for some good books to read! Some popular books I like are Maximum Ride, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Outsiders, The Troll Fell Series... But I also read mature books for my age (Wicked, The Other Boleyn Girl, The Last Dragon Lord...) So, does anyone have any suggestions?

  1. The Twilight series, the Inheritance trilogy,Poison Study,Magic Study and Fire Study,The Host,Pendragon,Bartimaeus Trilogy,The Chronicles Of Narnia,Spiderwick,A series of unfortunate events

  2. the Clique series by lisi harrison is really good. o and i read a book in 5th grade called house of stairs. it was really good and more mature.

  3. The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede. The series consists of four novels:

    1. Dealing with Dragons

    2. Searching for Dragons

    3. Calling on Dragons

    4. Talking with Dragons

The books are fantasy, with good adventure and plenty of humor. I read the series again about every two years. Most of the people I've recommended the series to have enjoyed it. I know it's a good series for young people because I was student teaching in an 8th grade class when I discovered it. Some of the students recommended it.

  4. lol i can't stand twilight either (a lot of ppl are going to thumbs down me for that but w/e)

    but try

    inkheart...by cornelia funke

    dealing with dragons...by patricia wrede

    artemis fowl...by eoin colfer

    uglies...by scott westerfield

    hope that helped

  5. i see that you read a lot of Young Adult books. You should start to read more grown up books.

I became a book lover when i was 13 (i'm 16 now) and the first ones that i read was...

The Da Vinci Code--By Dan Brown (That book was EXTREMELY good!)

Angels and Demons by Dan Brown (Really good too)

    Digital Fortress by Dan brown

OMG!!! i just remembered. i read this book by james patterson called Sunday's at Tiffanys.

that book is so good! read that one. it's about a little chubby girl who has an imaginary friend but when she turns 9 he has to go.

20 somthing years later, the imaginary friend sees her again, and they fall in love.

VERY GOOD BOOK!!!!! better then twilight! and i read twilight!

but it's not a young adult book, but still really good and easy to read. i read it in about 12 hours--one day

  6. why not try the storm breaker series Anthony Horowitz? Or there's an amazing book called the Raging Quiet, by Sheryl Jordan, i know skulduggery pleasant is supposed to be aimed at your age group, but not one i have read myself .

Maximum ride is absolutely amazing, but so are the two novels that inspired them. James Patterson's- when the wind blows and the lake house, they're very good. but reading them after maximum ride makes it tough not to imaging Max as the same as in the books. Although you can see where he got his inspiration from. They're very good though.
