Any California Road Trip/RV Ideas?

Question

My fiance and I are going to take a road trip in our RV in two weeks. We'll be starting out around San Clemente, CA... we don't have an agenda, but are leaving Friday and have to be back by Monday. We were thinking of just driving north on Highway 1 along the coast. Any ideas of places to park and sleep/ things do do?

don't know what u like to do but go to the library (librarian can helpin your search) or the internet and look up the areas u will be passing through there are some wonderful beaches and forests.  if u belong to aaa (or similar club) ask them, they will help with books and maps and  stuff. as you put in the names of towns along the route in the internet u will get stuff like the chamber of commerce numbers, places to visit, campsites. have fun

Great idea. I just finished a RV trip, but longer along the coast. We stayed in the big sur area. Stunning views all along the way. Because you have only 3 days, don't drive too far north or you will be too tired. Also if you have time, visit Hurst castle. The campgrounds where we stayed were Montana do oro and Limekiln state park. Both were awesome.
