If you are ethnically full Chinese(or full Korean) but an American citizen, do you root for China(Korea) or the US team?

I mean, if China and USA were playing against each other, who would you cheer for?

  1. I always cheer for the underdogs

  2. hahaha i'm full korean and american citizen. i don't care about olympics. lol. so yea. i don't root for anyone

  3. I'm not Chinese/American but i'm German/American and when it comes to which country to cheer for...it depends on the sport.  If Germany and USA were playing Basketball against eachother, I would root for USA but if it were soccer, I would root for Germany.  If it were something like ping pong, I wouldn't really care. I root for both.

It just depends on what sport/athlete is more popular in that particular country and how important the win would be. (I was rooting for Torres in the 50m fly, even though she was racing a german).  But I was hoping the germans won water polo/hand ball/soccer...that type of stuff.

  4. I root for both and I cheer on both sides because I am a combination of both and I grew up benefiting from both countries.  I feel honored for being multicultural because diversity brings our world together.

The Olympics is about the whole, not the individual.  I think every participating nation is a winner and each athlete should feel honored for representing their nation.

The Olympics should be a time of harmony, not controversy.

  5. hmm.. That's a good question. I usually root for China. Not because I'm Chinese American. But also due to the fact that I want to see China win the most gold medals for the first time. So it'll be a historical moment.

  6. USA cuz im born here
