  1. You should look at Purchase College in Westchester NY.

It has one of the best Dance Conservatories in the area... they do a lot of contemporary stuff.

I'm not in that conservatory, I'm in the creative writing one. But I know several dancers and have seen several of the shows and they are really great.

PLUS... very close to NYC (without the cost of living in Manhattan) great for auditions.

  2. Harvard Medical School

  3. savannah school for arts in georgia

  4. Julliard!  If you really want to excel in music or dance you should definitely check this school out. They have a range of scholarships and grants. Plus if you don't qualify for a scholarship/grant they have jobs available on the campus. pay ranging from 1000-7000 a year.

  5. Julliard or the University of Miami. Great schools

  6. Since the styles of dancing you're listing lean towards the showbiz side of things (compared to the concert dance/ non-profit/ arts side of things), I'd recommend Oklahoma City University for you.

Their School of American Dance & Arts Management is specifically geared "to give thorough preparation to students wanting dance performance careers in the American entertainment industry."

Places like Juilliard and Purchase are for those who want to focus on ballet and modern dance in order to join a contemporary dance company (not to be confused lyrical dance or most of what you see on TV).

You might also want to check out Chapman University in Orange County, CA, seeing as how that is where Katee Shean is from - one of the 10 finalists in SYTYCD.
