Any Disney casting calls?

well, does anyone know of any Disney Channel casting calls comming upp?

if not, how do you land a job on the Disney Channel?

& if you're going to day "why would you want to be on a stupid channel like that" it is because Disney is a respectable name and i really want to become an actress. not just become famous(:

if you want to be an actress disney isnt the right place im not saying that disney isnt respectable or anything like thatt but if you TRULY want to be a great actress disney will not help at all here are the reasons

1. Disney is a career killer meaning your disney stardom lasts about 3 years then you fade and try to get work outside of disney only problem is that when you try to get movies and such all the casting directors just no you as being a cookie cutter disney starlet and will cast you aside because they want no part of that rollercoster of unpredictable talent

2. all disney stuff is the same teen pop bubble gum stuff and it doesnt give you a chance to versitile or be someone you are not and thats the whole purpose of acting! so how can you say you dont want to be famous and that you love acting?? the only reason someone would want to be on disney would be to be famous because there is no true acting going on there and you wont be able to sustain a career

so you can go with disney if that is wht YOU think will help you become an actress but you have to do it right

1. get into classes at school and your community theater and audition for local theater

2. take voice and dance lessons and being able to play an instrument (piano or guitar preferably) helps a lot

3. research through books and the internet the whole history of the industry and know all the important concepts of the buisness inside and out

4. take improv, script writing, film production, camera acting and every class you can to make yourself more versitile

5. after about 2-4 years of training and experience to build a solid resume then you can consider getting headshots and finding a legit agent

6. keep building your resume and going to auditions your agent provides for you

7. keep working and working and working build tough skin stamina drive passion personality intelegence humility TALENT and hopefully you can get where you want (even if that is disney "sigh")

8. only do this if you must act to live!! if acting isnt something you enjoy or have a strong passion for then get out now because you are just a waste of space if you dont

PS disney wont do open calls so you have to have an agent o get an appointment even if you do find a disney audition you cant go because crashing an audition is one of the worst possible things to do so you need an agent (btw agents dont cost anything they just get 10-20% commision)

Disney isn't as great as many people think it is, You pretty much sign your life over with disney and it's somewhere to start, but they have you locked in a contract.. where you can't do anything non-disney. They don't have open casting calls for just anyone. You need an agent to land jobs and auditions with Disney.. it takes a lot of work, you need to have on camera experience like commercials or student films or they won't even consider you. Disney doesn't have open casting calls! There is too many people trying to work for them. Actually, what you need to do is get an agency affiliated with Disney, like SAG. They will find you work, and the best thing is you don't have to pay a cent! They only get payed when you get payed. Good luck!

i agree with you!! disney is not a stupid channel and they can promote your career better than any other company(look at miley cyrus .. disney mareted her ALOT and look how big she got!)

i dont think there are any recent calls but to the people who say "DISNEY DOES NOT HAVE OPEN CALLS" YOUR WRONG!! thats how selena gomez and demi lovato got on disney so shutttzz ur mouth upz
