Any Evidence that "The Great Global Warming Swindle" is not true?

I have heard people say this movie is filled myths and lies. Could someone post a link which exposes these supposed lies?

You may have noticed that March of last year was particularly hot. As a matter of fact, I understand that it was the hottest March since the beginning of the last century. All of the trees were fully leafed out and legions of bugs and snakes were crawling around during a time in Arkansas when, on a normal year, we might see a snowflake or two. This should come as no surprise to any reasonable person. As you know, Daylight Saving Time started almost a month early this year. You would think that members of Congress would have considered the warming effect that an extra hour of daylight would have on our climate. Or did they ? Perhaps this is another plot by a liberal Congress to make us believe that global warming is a real threat. Perhaps next time there should be serious studies performed before Congress passes laws with such far-reaching effects.

The list of silly things Global Warming says is very long.

Here is my favorite:  Floating ice (icebergs & the arctic ice pack) will melt and wash away coastlines.

If that were even possible, the ice in a glass of water cause the glass to overflow.  It doesn't because the ice displaces no more water than is contained in the ice.

So Global Warming is certainly not science but it is hype.

A lot of things people say about global warming are vastly exaggerated, you can't listen to people in politics though b/c they all have something to gain -- doing your own research about it is your best bet.  

But to answer your question, global warming is happening, it is for the most part a natural process that would be occurring anyway, man has just sped up the process a bit.  And it's not the fault of the a*****e down the street driving the Hummer, what is happening to the earth now are the effects of the Industrial Revolution, not that we still shouldn't be trying to reduce our carbon emissions, so as not to s***w future generations, the way we've been screwed by past generations.  

The main thing that is going to effect us with global warming is as the glaciers in Greenland melt (this is where a majority of the world's fresh water is introduced to the ocean) more and more rapidly, it will introduced more fresh water than the ocean's thermohaline circulation (the ocean's warm water/salt  water cycle) can keep up with.  This will cause the ocean's currents (eg. gulf stream) which have a very large impact on our climate to gradually shut down; thus propelling us into a premature ice age (not to mention the effects which will happen in the near future of sea level rising, etc. )

The biggest myth I have seen from the ones that say no warming is America cut down her forests, grows junk trees and refuses to clean the mess up. Most people refuse to look at the science that humans have polluted the ozone layer, have a way to fix it, but still ignore doing something. This takes a grass roots effort, which is what I am working on.

Today here is what we know:  many of mankind’s advancements cause earth surface to warm, destroy the ozone layer, kill off endanger species, heat cities, and in some way cause more destruction.  Blacktop (roads and parking lots), buildings, air pollution (causes lung and other diseases), deforestation, duststorms (which increase hurricanes and cyclones and cause lung diseases), fires (cause pollution, mud slides, and deforestation), refrigerants (like CFC's), solvents (including benzene destroy the ozone layer raising skin cancer rates) and plastics; cars, airplanes, ships and most electricity production (causes pollution including raised CO2 levels) are human problems we need to fix to keep life on earth sustainable! The federal government needs to adopt a pollution surcharge to balance the field and advance new technologies. We must pay the real price of oil (petrochemicals) including global warming, cleanup and for health effects. But with that we must understand we have never seen what is now happening before. CO2 has never lead to temperature change, but temperature change has led to increases in CO2. The models have to be made as we go along with little evidence! The result is:  change is on the way, we just do not know what changes. But again adding a small amount of CO2 to the atmosphere enlarges the earths sun collection causing warming; increase water in the atmosphere and they form clouds cooling earth but causing flooding. Even natural events are warming earth and causing destruction. The sun has an increased magnetic field causing increases in earthquakes (more destruction), volcanoes (wow, great destruction), and sun spots. Lighting produces ozone near the surface (raising air pollution levels). But humans have destroyed half of the wetlands, cut down nearly half of the rain forest, and advance on the earths grasslands while advancing desertification which increases duststorms. The USA Mayor's have taken a stand and I believe are on the right track, we can have control and can have economic growth. With the peak of oil in the 1970’s, the peak of ocean fishing in the 1980’s, humans must stop procrastinating and make real changes to keep earth sustainable including in the energy debate, finance and regulation. The sun is available to produce energy, bring light to buildings and makes most of human’s fresh water. Composting is the answer to desertification. New dams are the answer to fresh water storage, energy and cooling earth by evaporation, we need many small ones all over (California needs 100 by 2012 and has not even started).

President Bush has made a choice of energy (ethanol) over food and feeding the starving people around the world; this is a choice China has rejected.
