I wanna buy a customized PC from PCUSA. I'm wondering if this computer can run FSX at high settings with playable frame rate. Also, is the system worth buying? It cost around $1350 with 22" LCD and three year system warranty.

Anyway, here's the system specs:

Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit

ASUS M3A78-EMH HDMI mother board

500GB SATA-II 7200rpm hardrive

AMD Phenom 9950 2.6GHz Quad processor

4GB system RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT 1Gb graphics card

I appreciate any suggestions or recommendations.

  1. your systems awesome. you'll be ok ;)

  2. You can get an Nvidia GTX 280 for the price of an 8800.

  3. yeah that system to should rock Flight Sim X.

  4. i run my deluxe edition of fsx on something similar.

    AMD 6400+

    Inno3d 8800GT

    with 4 gig ram

    and vista.

Runs nice and smooth with alot of addons, like active sky and active graphics. Also with addon aircraft, like PMDG and Wilco and Level D.

Your system will do fine, i get about 40-50 fps stable in busy areas with alot of traffic.

Oh and yes everything set out on max settings

  5. That system sounds like it would be ideal for gaming.  I have FSX Deluxe Edition on my desktop computer -- an HP Pavilion with a single core processor and only 512 MB of RAM.  Honestly, I'm not satisfied with the frame rate, especially with more detailed graphics settings.  Your system should be great though -- plenty of RAM and a good graphics card.  The big screen is also a plus.
