  1. Hello Gold and Silver:

You might look into a program for promoting awareness of mental health issues. I've seen other projects related to organ donor awareness, you might do something like this for depression.

Best of luck on your project.

    Keep on Scoutin'

  2. Have a workshop for the public that could be themed around stress managemant.  Ask local people to help-like a yoga instructor, etc.

  3. You need at least a Bachelor's, perhaps a Master's degree to work with people with depression. That's not something to fool around with. However, working with children is probably within your abilities. Under supervision, you can lead them in art or dance activities, maybe teach them a song, or help them reach out to shut ins with a letter or a card that they made. It really depends on the nature of their disabilities, but there are some great possibilities there. Ask the supervisors of these children for ideas - I'll bet they have a good idea of what their capabilities are.

    Thanks for caring!

    Best to you.
