Question:

Any Good Airline Deals?

I'm planning to go to India this summer from Washington DC BWI. My parents are insissting on going with Lufthansa airlines because they are cheap. However, in my opinion, they are the crappiest airlines ever made with freezer food, aisle T.V., and stupid ideas such as showing 2 movies during a 13-hou-long flight. Please could someone suggest an alternate airline (preferably one that doesn't stop at London) That costs less than 1600 per ticket.

  1. Hey ! if you are planning to go from Washington DC to New Delhi, I think Air India will be one of the better option. There are few more non-stop Airlines like Delta Airlines, United Airlines, Indian Airlines......for that you may proceed.

You can also discover your flight from travel sites like onetravel, expedia,  travelocity.

  3. Just check on Orbitz.  But off the top of my head, Virgin Atlantic is good and probably fly those routes.  You could do Continental to Newark and then take Jet Airways - they are an Indian airline and I liked flying them, but only did so domestically within India.

The absolute best inflight experience will certainly be with Cathay Pacific or Singapore, but being on the East coast and flying Westwards to get there would add some time/$ to your trip.  I got to India on Swiss and they were great, but the company has gone bankrupt and been resurrected in the 7 years since then, so may be completely different now.

Can I make an observation, though?  If you are the type of person who will get all upset about little things such as the ones you listed...India may not be the destination for you.  It's a wonderful, beautiful, amazing country, but it's certainly not without its little inconveniences.
