  1. here u have to memorize them and u'll notice the pattern: the first parts stay the same but notice the ending numbers.

    soixante  -60

    soixante-dix - 70  (60 -10)

    soixante-onze, 71

    soixante-douze-72

    soixante-treize-73

    soixante-quatorze-74

    soixante-quinze-75

    soixante-seize-76

    soixante-dix-sept-77

    soixante-dix-huit-78

    soixante-dix-neuf-79

    now:

    quatre-vingts -80 (4 20s litteraly)

    quatre-vingt-un -81

    quatre-vingt-deux-82

    quatre-vingt-trois-83

    quatre-vingt-quatre-84

    quatre-vingt-cinq-85

    quatre-vingt-six-86

    quatre-vingt-sept-87

    quatre-vingt-huit-88

    quatre-vingt-neuf-89

    quatre-vingt-dix -90

    quatre-vingt-onze-91

    quatre-vingt-douze-92

    quatre-vingt-treize-93

    quatre-vingt-quatorze-94

    quatre-vingt-quinze-95

    quatre-vingt-seize-96

    quatre-vingt-dix-sept-97

    quatre-vingt-dix-huit-98

    quatre-vingt-dix-neuf-99

    then cent --- 100

in belgium and switzerland, and french canada they totally dont use these, but i am not gonna confuse u on that. they'll know.

just memorize these and you can just add the endings easily.

  2. when you get to the 70's, u say in english 60, 10. so in french you say soixante-dix. literally sixty-ten. then sixty-eleven for 61 and so on...soixante-onze, soixante douze....then it does that when you get to the 90's.quatre-vingt-dix=90. literally four-twenty-ten or 80- ten, and it goes on till 99 then it starts normal at 100.

  3. The X is right.

In Switzerland and in Belgium, The use the same rule till 100

    Soixante, soixante et un...

    Septante, septante et un...

    Huitante, Huitante et un... (Switzerland)

    Octante, octante et un... (Belgium)

    Nonante, nonante et un...

    I'm french, but I never understood why those "soixante-dix, quatre-vingts, quatre-vingt dix..."
