Any Harry Potter fans out there?

To any Harry Potter fans or anyone who fancies joining us!

You must have heard the awful news that The Half Blood Prince film has now been pushed back from November 21st 2008 to July 17th 2009. This is for no reason other than the fact Warner Brothers want a summer blockbuster for next summer, as they have made enough money this summer with The Dark Knight and they want a similar amount next summer.

Alan Horn the CEO of Warner Brothers who made this decision has stated “I’ve seen the movie. It is fabulous. We would have been perfectly able to have it out in November.” Which is just kicking us when we are down! So we are letting Warner Brothers know exactly what we think of them and this stupid idea!

I'd rather wait longer, because there will be less of a gap between that and Deathly Hallows and then I won't be shelling out the 50 quid for Beadle as well as seeing the movie like 3 times, because I have various friends who live in different parts of the country that I have to travel to so I can go see the movie with them.

they are doing it because of the writers strike, it caused a backlog of movies which wont be out till 2010 so there'll be a big chunk of missing movies next summer, so they are moving back the release date so they have a big film for next summer.

Look at it this way, you wont have to wait as long for the half-blood prince now.

I'm a fan too but I've read the books, so I guess I'll be able to wait for a few more months. What's the problem? I'm sure there will be other good movies to watch too...
