  1. If you have money go to betterbasketball.com and get the shooting video for $30. If you dont make sure your dominant hand is under the ball and you other hand on the side of  the ball. Never let your dominant hands palm touch the ball. Make sure your dominant hands thumb never is on the side of the ball. In your shooting stroke dont extend your wrist until your elbow is almost fully extended. On your follow thruough if you pay attention your dominant hand should look like its in the goal and your weak hand should be on the rim sort of like a fraame. Try to get the video. Repitition is key

Good luck from a 14 year old girl who can shoot about 60%                                            in practice

  2. If you have a good coach who knows what he/she is talking about then listen to them and just work hard to change it and make it natural for you. If you shoot hundreds of shots a day it will become habbit for you eventually. Also, there are all kinds of inexpensive shooting devices that can be used to improve your shot. You can find these online and they can really help. If you get something to help you out just start shooting close and midrange shots and then gradually move backwards. Good Luck!

  3. Don't worry dude theres many people in the NBA who has a ugly form, maybe their form is uglyier than yours. I had the same problem but i just kept putting my elbow straight and i got used to it. Now, i am the best shooter on my team. work on your form when you sit on the computer or get a clean basketball and lay on your couch and practice the form. flick your wrist and make the ball go higher and higher and your arm will become stronger and stronger then you will get used to the new form. Trust me using a weird form isn't good because people will probably start calling you a fluker. maybe your just getting the shot in because you push the ball with your two hands? that's not good you have to learn to use the real form.

    I hoped i helped

    =)

  4. Its OK if you have a weird form(everyone has there own preference/style), there's many players in the NBA with unorthodox form.

  5. You should stay with your jumper. people like shawn marion were using their jumpers forever and are a threat when it comes to shooting. It makes you unique from other people.

  6. I am going to take a different approach in trying to help you with your problem

it seems that everyone who answered said to go back to his natural form. If you listen to them, then get ready to die by way of suicides!

Look, what i say isgo to a gym for a day and shoot you NEW jump shot over and over.  Eventually, it will come around!

I started a new shot just as you did about a month ago. I was so mad because i couldnt make like 6/10 threes. It took me about a month to get back to where i was, but now i get compliments from everyone about how beautiful my shot is.

    Keep practicing! Don't give up!

Good luck! I hope this answer helps you!

  7. Best advice is go back to shooting naturally.
