Talk to the management.  They charge by the square foot.

All depends on the Mall.  Some are quite expensive while others are not as expensive as others.  Some Malls have heavier traffic, some have very upscale stores.  Those would be more expensive.

A Mall location is a rural area would be far less than in a larger population.  

Stores rent by the square foot so then it would depend on how big the store is.  

I had stores in several Malls and I can tell you that there was great variance in the rent from one Mall to the other.  

Then some Malls want a percentage of your total sale in addition to the rental.

If you have a specific Mall in mind you can call the Management Office and inquire as to the rental per square foot.  They should be able to give you a total approximation very quickly.  Also some Malls will not let competing stores into the same Mall, some will.  

You would have to inquire to the specific Mall that interests you.

retail spots at the mall are high, not only do you pay high rent, but some malls also take a cut of your profit and you repair anything that goes wrong IE, air conditioner roof leaks, you need to call a real estate commercial  tenant rep, they work for you and at no charge to you, the owner would pay the agent, search on web for local commerical agents in your area
