Well My mothers birthday is coming up. I was thinking a great thing for her b-day was to make her a homemade breakfast in bed. The problem is, I'm not much of a cook, and I just need some ideas that are not too difficult to make. I'm a teenager by the way. Thanks.

  1. Fresh fruit...sliced strawberries, bananas, orange slices...prettily arranged in a small bowl.

Toast---with her favorite bread...ie: whole wheat, white, or whole grain. With butter & her favorite jelly on the side.

Hot chocolate...you can get a good chocolate mix--Ghiradelli at the market. Float 1 or  2 little marshmallows.

A few slices of cheese...Monterrey Jack is a nice mellow cheese

Her favorite juice in a small glass...oj, cranberry, or pog

Those are just a few ideas..& see you did not have to "cook".Hope they helped

Oh..I almost forgot...a single rose on the tray...

    :)

  3. Scrambled eggs are easy. You can even make them in the microwave in a glass dish like a custard cup. Get Egg Beaters in a carton and you won't even have to break an egg. Serve fresh fruit like grapes or strawberries. It's also very easy to squeeze fresh orange juice.  And pancakes from a mix are E-Z too. And it is the thought that counts. You mom will be happy with the effort, especially if you clean up afterward!

  4. Frozen waffles w/ some sliced strawberries and some whip cream

    a glass of OJ

some coffee and if you don't know how to brew it you can always get the cold kind that Starbucks makes

or if she doesn't like the above

You could just make her a bowl of her favorite cereal and either cut up some fresh fruit in a pretty bowl or slice a banana in her cereal add some toast w/ a tiny cup of some favorite jelly or jam

    Same for beverage

  5. You could try poached eggs on toast.

Break eggs into little cups put boiling water in the pan so it is below the top of the cups, bring back to boil and simmer for a few minutes.  Eggs are done when they are a pearly white. While the eggs are cooking make the toast.

If you don't have an egg poaching pan, pour boiling water and a couple of shakes of vinegar into a sauce pan, bring back to the boil, break eggs into a small jug or teacup one at a time.  Stir the boiling water till it is swirling round.  Drop eggs in the boiling, swirling water.  Simmer for a couple of minutes.  When the eggs come to the top of the water they are cooked, just a few minutes.,  Make toast while eggs are cooking.  Serve the eggs on the toast with fresh juice, tea or coffee.

Good luck a nice thought, I am sure Mum will enjoy.
