Any Ideas for a great Birthday present for an eight year old girl?

my daughter is turning eight in just a bit, and I really want to buy her something special, but that doesn't take too much space. she is very active and doesnt' have a lot of free time, but is quite creative and loves to read. is there some "hot" toy you think an eight year old doesn't want to live without?

If she is as active as you say, get her something that can keep her active and healthy at the same time like an inflattable pool or a trampeline.

I agree with Hannah I bought my daughter a camera and she gets out there and takes heaps of photos of nature and stuff and it blows my mind some of the stuff she photographs and the way she presents it I have framed a couple they are awesome.

You can pick up digital cameras really cheap now.

I guess it would all depend on what she is in to. Most girls right nwo are all about Hannah Montana so anything with ehr works lol Also alittle more on the expensive side is the DS Lite I have to say my 10 year old finally got one and I gave in and got one for myself just so I can join in with her and play games together as a little time messing around. Also if she is creative and loves to read a camara is a good idea with things for a scrapebook then she can put her pictures in it and make her own little book also.
