  1. Print out a picture and

cut it in half - on one side put the capital A - the other side put a lower case a

or on one side put a number 1 and on the other side put one dot

You could make ribbons for physical games -attach a ribbon to the end of a bracelet and they can ribbon dance.

Science - put ice in the sensory table and put salt on it and see if it melts slower or faster than the one without salt.  Or we have also put grass seed on washrag cutouts of shamrocks and watered one and left one dry and let them predict which one will grow faster.

Lots of ideas out there - just get your brain to working!!

  2. This is such a wide age range - kids these ages are at very different developmental stages, which can determine how complicated of a game you can make.

Definitely matching games - they are easy to make, just some index cards and a marker.  And you can make any sort of game you want.  Typically a word and definition match or a word and picture match.  I like to do a lot of sorting games with cards as well.  Some science-type games that I have done with cards are sorting the pictures of the animals into the biome that they belong to (tundra - polar bear, penguin, etc.; rainforest - howler monkey, butterfly, etc.; desert - roadrunner, snake, etc.).  This is age appropriate for about 10-12 year olds.

Here's one that can be scientific and physical.  Pick several students to be planets.  Give them a card with the name of their planet on it.  Ask them to physically put themselves into planet order without talking to each other.  Age appropriate for about 8-12 year olds.

    Good luck.
