Any Ideas on what makes a group more interesting?

I was wondering what other moderators would like to share about things they put in their database, photos, files and post topics that gets people to get involved and talk. People keep joining my group and say nothing. I feel like maybe my group is not interesting them?

What is your group about? You can send different news / pics etc about your topic. You could set alerts from google or yahoo and forward them to you group and create a discussion on them ?
