Any Ideas please?

Ok so my class is having this video contest known as a PSA and we have to make a 24 second video on anything that contributs to the enviornment anyways my group chose floatables which is like trash that goes into the storm drains than into the ocean than into the eastern garbage patch which kills/harms animals and there habitat. We already came up with 2 ideas which was that we were gonna have a pic nik and the beach and leave the trash there and than talk about how bad it is, or we were gonna go swimming and than come up and all the trash is in the water. The teacher said OK but its not original, how can we make it original/creative?

Consider following the life of your "floatable" trash in a bit more detail, take the floatable on a longer journey.

For example, have one of your picnic goers buy a soda in a plastic container, drink the soda, then toss the empty bottle away in a park or out of a car window. Then follow the bottle as it is washed into a storm drain, out into the ocean. Then have the person who littered go swimming at the beach and meet up with the plastic bottle in the ocean.

You all could also rent the movie "The Red Balloon"; give your floatable some traits like the balloon in this movie. You could have the floatable follow a person around town.

Leaving the trash there is totally contributing ton the thing you say you are trying to prevent.

You might see if you can get and get permission to use short segmnents of film about animals that have been hurt by trash.   A news service, environmental group or university marine biology dept may be able to help.  Or a short clip of a small child asking why sea animals die.   Or hold up smll pieces of trash and ask how something that small can kill a whale or something as big as a porpoise.  or just a brief shot of a cute sea animal captioned please  help me and telling how to help by keeping floatables away.

Yes my little sister, I have a suggetion for you. Maybe you can try to set the video cam on every edges of the places you intended and next you pick the best part of the video and cut and paste to the video programme that you wnt to make. But this isn't easy to do that because once you put the camera on and set it in the public you are said to be offend againt the privacy, so is better set on your hands or you can using hand set to do that for the camera  at hand is lawful and you won't catch up with suit case. Video the area Before IF any or show AS IS, then show Your group cleaning the area.
