anyway, here, taxis charge by time not by distance. so if your driver is dishonest, he can drive at 5mph and charge you however much. complain if he does.

I live in West Norwood and have taken a taxi (addison Lee) to Liverpool Street before.  It was £30 so I guess the little bit further up to Upper Norwood would be 35 - 40.  Hope this helps.  You can get a quote from Addison Lee from their website - they were very good.
