  1. You can definitely receive medical marijuana,  I'm positive you can qualify for it, apparently with the vague wording of the laws, it's not too hard to qualify. I'm no doctor and can't guarantee that it'll help with your pain. I'd go for it, I think it's definitely worth trying. Good luck..

Edit: The above poster is wrong,  with Proposition 215 California State law  says:

    * Exempts patients and defined caregivers who possess or cultivate marijuana for medical treatment recommended by a physician from criminal laws which otherwise prohibit possession or cultivation of marijuana.

        * Provides physicians who recommend use of marijuana for medical treatment shall not be punished or denied any right or privilege.

        * Declares that the measure is not be construed to supersede prohibitions of conduct endangering others or to condone diversion of marijuana for non-medical purposes.

  2. Marijuana is not indicated for treating pain.  You'd have to take percocet or some other opioid.  No seriously, you should see a pain management specialist, and forget about the marijuana.  You'd need to have glaucoma for your doctor to prescribe that.
