Any Other Parents Feel Like Big Kids.....???

Question

When you go toy shopping???

I have been madly rushing around putting laybys & buying the boys Christmas things (Oh no that C word!!!). As all the big chain stores here have their toy sales on, and I am a BIG kid.

I play with the toys when I walk past, and get excited when I see something I know my boys will love (or is it that I will love the toy).

It's so much fun. I can't wait till Santa comes & pays off my credit card.

Anyone else feel the same way???

Oh darling not just you!! I cant wait until tomorrow - cos thats when i'm doing the toy shopping - i think i enjoy it more than my kids do. But i'm a big kid at heart, and it doesnt take the big toy sales for me to walk past and play with the toys lol!!

Definitely.  I think I play with Will's toys more than he does.  He still prefers the cat to any of his toys.  but anyway I now have tunes I can play on his piano and his drums, took me a while to work it out but trying new tunes everyday.

Yes me and ben are both big kids, we play with alot of Charleighs toys more than she does.......and like u i turn every toy on as i walk past.....hey i didnt know santa paid your credit card off....im going shopping tomorrw!!!!! You need to tell me all the other tricks of the trade when it comes to kids...its my first xmas so i didnt know all this......does easter bunny pay your bills too??????

I just HAD to try out that big life like horse.

My husband was so embarrased.

80% of the fun is playing with the toys. Got to try before you buy, right? Actually even if you don't buy, still got to try. Call it the inner child that just hasn't left yet.

ahhhhh!!!!, I am shocked! and surprise at you women! usually its the guy that acts like that in the department stores. my husband acts like a big kid in the toy stores and music stores and game stores, radio shack...oh the list just goes on and on. but I am the level headed mom. taking charge of the situation, I have two small boys and a husband and I swear sometimes I can't take him them anywhere! once we went to a African American museum. my husband who loves musical instruments, couldn't help but pick up an historic instrument and start playing it. ugggh! it embarrassed me royally! needless to say we haven't been back to that museum since. I love my husband but sometimes he can be a little childish at times. he said it's just the kid in him, so lets let him out to play.

lol YES!!  i think its part of the reason we have kids too....so we can  have a good excuse to play again  lol.  after all, all kids need a play buddy  lol.

Im a bigger Kid than what Joseph is, BY FAR!!!

I love it when we go shopping, playing with all the toys, and "helping" him choose..

Guess Im making up for own childhood, where if i got anything at all it was a hand-me-down.

Went into Chickenfeed before last Christmas, and saw this huge truck with four cars on the back, i said " JOSEPH IS HAVING THAT!!!"   Of Course I play with it too!!

( I was never allowed to have anything like that when I was a kid.)

I have just finished with the target one (national debt again, lol) and I can't do it with my daughter so much now as she is 4 and has clear ideas of what she wants.....but my son, well he got lots of things that Mum thought looked really cool. And his birthday is the 6th of Dec so he gets a double lot.....probably why the trolley was stacked so high and the cashier at lay-by said OMG that is the most expensive one I have done since midnight.........whoops, lol.

Oh you know I am (although I am yet to be a parent..... soon though) I cannot wait untill the toy age comes :D

yes girl me and my two year old daughter loves to go shooping for clothes and toys when im in the store i try not to get the first thing see because im gonna be there for ever good thin i be mad whe the store is closing in this one store. i  just learn to walk out of the store an be strong so that i either dont spend all my money or have time to go to another store.

sadly at 9 mine are getting past toys. But I did have the joy of lining up for ages to buy a couple of PS2 games in Target yesterday. But in Kmarts sale a couple of weeks ago I did get to try a couple of toys when laybying for my friends kids for Christmas. But there is a game that plays music when you burst the bubbles. The more you burst the higher it plays till there is a winner. I think Santa got that for me more than the kids

I have felt like a big kid since I had my daughter. I get more excited about her toys than she does and every time I go to the store, I am skipping thru the isles looking at baby dolls and my little ponies like I was 6 years old again! LOL! If Santa pays your credit cards he better pay mine too ;)

the funniest part is when my daughter has to wait impatiently (with a look of sterness) while Mummy and Daddy finish playing/pressing buttons etc!!!!!

I actually took my b/f's daughter to the toystore, just to have something to do for fun, not to buy anything, and she told me to get off the toys (ride on ones) and stop acting like a child. Shes 3 so it was too funny, guess she's heard that one too many times. But yeah I can't wait for Christmas I haven't started shopping yet but I think we are going to be pulling names this year so I won't have to buy so much for my family and I could spend a little more money on her this year.

Oh yeah I LOVE the toy section!!!!  There are so many awesome toys out there today!  I really have to watch myself so that I don't spoil my kids!  And I take every chance I get to introduce the toys I used to play with to my kids to see if they like them.  So far they like Fraggle Rock and My Little Ponies.

I love to shop in the kids toy section of Walmart or wherever... actually. I get to go shopping for my daughter's birthday presents for this weekend and its so exciting because even though shes only three I still have a blast playing with all toys while I shop and just being a 'real big' kid. Sometimes I get funny looks from older parents but hey what the heck right; its not like I am getting any younger. lol

Ha, that sounds exactly like me! I get really excited when we go to the Toy Store, or even the Toy Isle. my 2 year old and I both take turns hitting all the buttons though. My 15 year old gets so embarrassed and walks away acting like she has no clue who i am. lol.

Everyone that has known me my whole life say I'm the kid that never fully grew up. I matured and am responsible, I just never grew up. lol.
