Any Philosophies about life?

Question

Has anybody got any philosophies about life which are nice and enlightening, can you please tell some? Some of which might pick someone up when they're down.

Existentialism is a philosophy about being, particularly our kind of being. So it is a philosophy about life. It's about realizing one's freedom, and becoming aware of our being in the world. I suggest reading Heidegger's Being and Time (or perhaps at first an introduction, as the original work is quite daunting), and Sartre's novel Nausea.
