Any Recommendations on living at Dorms in First Year at University? (UWO To Be Exact)?

Heading to UWO in a week....starting first year in Social Sciences Dept..... Any tips on how to get used to the changeovers? Thanks!

Realize that while you may hang out a lot with your hall and dorm mates at first, these people will not necessarily be your best buds for the college experience or even the semester.  It's good to have a good relationship with the people in your hall/dorm but you really don't have to be super close with them.  If you are, after a while things can get messy.

1. watch your partying..... too much and you start missing classes. This leads to bad grades, and health issues.

2. forget about trying to study in the dorm.... find somewhere else to study.

3. If you allot 35-40 hours a week to schoolwork, and approach it as a job, you will be fine.

4. relax and go with the flow.

You can start training by buying boxes of beer and drinking them in preperation for many hours of late night parties.
